Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage will premiere tonight at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City tonight. It will be showing in Canada on Thursday, April 29, at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival in Toronto.

A new trailer for the film is also available.

According to the Banger Films website, and Rushisband.com, here is the schedule for the documentary's release after these two festivals:

VH1 and VH1 Classic - June 26, 2010

DVD, Blu-ray, Digital Download - June 29, 2010

Sonic Reality updated its website to include a page for Neil Peart Drums, a new target release date, and price.

Availability: Second Quarter 2010

Price: $199 (DVD edition)

Specs: (from a forum posting) 35 GB of hard disk storage

There's also a "making of" video showing the producers working on Neil's drum kit and Neil playing the kit.

There's also a demo video you can watch of someone playing the kit via keyboard.

I found this information about this product in the comments of the demo video, which explains a little more about how this product works.

Today, Rush announced their 2010 Tour Dates for "The Time Machine Tour." From the PR Newswire story:

Announced today, The Time Machine Tour is an evening with Rush, where they will perform their classics, give a taste of the future -- and for the first time ever -- feature the Moving Pictures album live in its entirety. 

The story also includes a footnote that "additional cities and dates to be announced."

Update - 4/5/10 - The original Pearl Drummers Forum has been taken down (thanks, Ed, from Rushisaband.)

According to this forum post (and pictures), Rush was in the studio the past week. Here are some pictures of the Snakes & Arrows kit set up for recording.
