I just wanted to than everyone who has pledged towards my book. I haven't reached my target to launch the book but I am still grateful to everyone who has supported this project and to the many people who have helped to promote it. I don't have the funds to launch this book so I will put it on ice for a year and maybe have another go at trying to raise funds for this in 2015. Neil Peart will be one of over 100 drummers featured in a new Kickstarter book project by David Phillips: From the Riser: A Drummer's Perspective II. Peart will also write the introduction.
As with any Kickstarter project, the book won't be funded unless a certain goal is met. According to the site, "This project will only be funded if at least �12,000 is pledged by Sat, Mar 8 2014 7:59 AM PST." This also means (according to the Kickstarter FAQ) that your credit card won't be charged unless the project moves forward.
To pledge this book, go to the Kickstarter web page. (Note that the site will convert Pound Sterling to other currencies.) You can pledge for as little as 1 Pound Sterling (about US $1.64 as of this posting.)
This book is a follow-up to Phillips' A Drummer's Perspective: A Photographic Insight into the World of Drummers, published in 2010 (and also featured Peart).

The new book features more drummers, more pages and even better pictures. The powerful images and text aims to give a fascinating insight to the drummers, their playing and their world. By publishing this book I hope to share a little of their unique life with you and show the world what they do.
