Neil Peart is scheduled to appear on David Letterman on Thursday, June 9, as part of "Drum Solo Week." This was discovered in the latest Entertainment Weekly (via Rushisaband.com):
No official word from the Rush camp about this, or whether it will be a live or pre-taped "solo." I'd be really surprised if this were live, given that Rush likes to put all their energy into their tour when they're on the road. But they do have a day off, and Neil has been surprising us these days with appearances on the Colbert Report, I Love You, Man, and Adventures of Power.
More information as I get it.

"Countdown" wasn't played for the wakeup call today. I heard from Chromey owner, Dean Bobisud:
I just received word that the playing of this song has been postponed 1 day due to that fact that Mike is preparing for a spacewalk today and he will not be available to listen to or respond to the song.
The new time for the flight day 11 wake up song is:
Wednesday 5/25/11 at 6:54pm CDT.
The flight day 11 highlights will be replayed periodically throughout the afternoon on the following day and will include the wake up song at the beginning.

The Rush song "Countdown" will be beamed to the Space Shuttle on Tuesday, May 24, 2011.
A one-minute edited clip of the song from the 1982 Rush album Signals will be transmitted into space to wake up the Space Shuttle crew and start flight day 10. It will be played for Mission Specialist Mike Fincke.
The song was cropped and spliced to include some of the best parts and lyrics and to fit it into the required one-minute timeframe. Written about STS-1, the song is a tribute to the entire Space Shuttle program.
It will be played at approximately 7:00pm CDT on Tuesday 5/24/11. You can watch it live on NASA TV at http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/ If you don't catch it live, you should be able to watch the wakeup call as part of the Flight Day 10 highlights, around noon the following day (5/25/11).
