Neil Peart's first Slingerland drum kit that he played with Rush from 1974 - 1977 will be on display at Lakeside Park:

• July 22, from 1-11 p.m.
• July 24, from noon to 10 p.m.

Lakeside Park, immortalized in the 1975 Rush song of the same name, is located in St. Catharine's (about 10 miles from Niagara Falls - see map). I've visited this area, and it's beautiful. If you're in the area, it's worth a trip.

Neil Peart has won the 2010 DRUM! magazine Drummer of the Year award -- for the fourth year in a row.

Runners up included: Travis Barker, Jimmy Sullivan, Mike Portnoy, and Aaron Gillespie

Neil also was a runner up for:

• Live Performer (Aaron Gillespie won)
• Progressive Rock Drummer (Mike Portnoy won)
