Here are some photos from the last Rush show of the "Time Machine" tour. Thanks to John Arrowsmith for taking photos at every show and sharing them with the fans.

  1. We traveled from Honolulu to the Gorge at the urging of a close friend who lives and works in the RUSH circus. Never one to be overly excited or brag about his job (a consummate professional) his text simply read, "You better not miss this!". That was all I needed to book it and I figured with 6 more shows to pick from I'd gamble on the last one - I had heard somewhere The Gorge is a famous venue... WOW! WHAT A VENUE!. I'm a musician and have always appreciated RUSH's cutting musicianship, light attitudes and a great deal of their timeless songs. I'm not a RUSH fanatic, though maybe an elitist fan - if it's going to be Rock and Roll, RUSH is the fine red wine you would serve with an $80 steak. My wife put it best, "Now we can cross Best Rock Concert Experience off the bucket list". The July 2 show at The Gorge eclipses any and all other concerts I have attended. I'm still struggling to search my mind of the hundreds of shows I've attended to find an equal and there still is none... I know without question that there was an extra energy source present in the band at that show. Some people would argue that it eminated from them knowing it was their last show of the tour and they wanted to go home. I would say to those people that could be true, but I know better. What I heard and saw (and most importantly felt) was that RUSH played like it was their last show on Earth. To be a part of that good clean energy and share it with my wife...goosebumps all over again!Favorite part: (besides Neil and Geddy kicking Alex's butt into a higher gear several times...) That's an easy one. My Dad was a weekly gigging musician playing Dixieland music in Honolulu for 30+ years, his band was the RUSH in Honolulu for their time. When Neil's solo hit the Big Band phase I was rolled over so hard - it truly had me crying like a baby. My Dad would have appreciated it as much as I did. Thank you Neil!

  2. Hi, Geckoband. Thanks for your review. It was an amazing concert!

Just curious: Why do you think Rush played like it was the last show they'll ever play?

  3. As a musician, if you're not just playing through the motions then you're doing it like its the last time you ever will. You're supposed to leave it all on the stage. I've seen RUSH play enough to know they gave us everything they had at that show. They had to have been totally wiped out - I know I was.

  5. I see what you're saying and totally agree. I'd never seen them leave it all on the stage the way they did at that final "Time Machine" show.
